Tatu Films is a production company focused mainly in Natural History storytelling, founded by João Teles de Vasconcelos.
Based in Portugal, the aim of this production company is to produce original content that can truly inspire people and connect them to nature, as well as bring awareness to less known subjects.
We produce mainly documentaries for TV broadcast, but for times to times, we also produce content for Nature Conservation organizations and companies that seek branded content related with nature and conservation.
It gathers a multidisciplinary team that has a large experience in science communication.
Tatu Films drive is the natural world and the presentation of nature as visual art.

The Iberian Peninsula is a unique territory, and its Natural History is fascinating. To find the ‘soul’ of this territory, which is made up of Portugal, Spain, Andorra and Gibraltar, we will embark on a journey through Iberia’s wild places and get to know some of its wild inhabitants. Everyday, amazing survival stories unfold, portrayed by these characters.
Some of them are violent and dramatic, while others are funny and entertaining. Throughout the series, the narrative is formed by tales of individuals from different animal species, which we will join in some crucial moments of their lives. Each episode will concentrate on a specific type of landscape: the Mediterranean forest, the Highlands, and the Coast.
